Spring Meadow is an active adult 55+ community located just south of the town limits of Smyrna, Delaware, which was settled just prior to the American Revolution. The town is nearly four miles in size, and its population is nearly 13,000 residents.
The first residents of Spring Meadow moved into their homes in 2006; the builder completed the development in 2014. Our community has 94 single homes, and 152 carriage homes built in groups of four. Located just north of Delaware’s capital of Dover, Spring Meadow is close to two of the three major routes in Delaware. The meandering Leipsic River borders Spring Meadow on the south side.
Spring Meadow offers many amenities and opportunities for the people who live here, including social clubs and activities. Many residents are involved in the local area, helping with programs that benefit the surrounding community. We are located close to the beach and have access to nearby sports, music and cultural events.
The main hub of activities within Spring Meadow is our Clubhouse, the site of many community gatherings. Friday night happy hours are held in the gathering room where neighbors meet to socialize. The clubhouse has a large dining room for celebrations and parties. The clubhouse is the site of many other activities, such as billiards and various card and other table games. In addition, the clubhouse has a state-of-the-art fitness room, a small resident library, and meeting/activity rooms. For a fee, the residents of Spring Meadow can rent the clubhouse for private parties.
Spring Meadow boasts many outdoor activities, including lovely, landscaped walking paths and other outdoor activities, including a heated pool, bocce ball courts.
The community HOA is governed by a Board of Directors. Our governing documents ensure that community standards are maintained. Spring Meadow is an age-restricted community. Children under age 18 cannot live in Spring Meadow.
Living in Spring Meadow provides residents the opportunity to live as active a lifestyle as they choose. It is also a friendly place where people care about one another.
